1/004 (2025) is a photographic work presented as a vertical sequence of five matte prints. Using a fixed camera, it documents the gradual decay of a strawberry over time. The images shift from color to black and white, with the top image showing the strawberry at its most decayed and most vivid, while the bottom image shows it at its most intact and least saturated.
The project began during my military service, after my mother gave me a strawberry before I entered camp. I treated it as a quiet symbol of the human heart, carrying care and vulnerability over time. Through its gradual decay, the work reflects on how photography changes the way time and disappearance are seen, becoming a way to hold and intensify the presence of something already in the process of fading
